All prices are in Great British Pounds (GBP). Exchange rates shown are approximate and actual exchange rates are calculated by the Credit Card company at the time of placing your order.

Ordering On-Line

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

We accept credit card payment. If you are shopping from North America or anywhere else, place your order and your credit card company will convert the transaction to US Dollars or your own currency.

When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

Shipping And Handling
Post, Packaging & Handling Charges:

UK - 1.20 GBP + VAT for first item and thereafter 0.50 GBP per item
Europe - 2.00 GBP + VAT for first item and thereafter 0.60 GBP per item
World Zone 1 - US + Canada + Rest of the World - 2.00 GBP for first item and thereafter 1.00 GBP per item
World Zone 2 - Nigeria, South Africa, Russian Federation, Turkey, Ukraine - 6.00 GBP for first item and thereafter 1.00 GBP per item

All Vendor Direct products are charged at a flat rate of 1.20 GBP + VAT worldwide.

Vendor Direct items are shipped direct from one of our suppliers. This provides our customers with quicker delivery times and less likelihood of stock outs. All Vendor Direct products are charged at a flat rate of 1.20 GBP + VAT

To avoid disappointment please allow at least an extra two working days to enable us to get it into the post no later than the dates listed.

Back Orders If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

Tax Charges For orders made with delivery addresses within the UK or the European Union, 17.5% VAT is added. All other orders are VAT free.

Returns Policy At www.MusicInScotland.com we want you to be delighted every time you shop with us.

Defective items:
We endeavor to make sure the product you ordered arrives in perfect condition. If however you are unhappy with your purchase, you can return it to us in its original condition (unopened, with all seals and shrink-wrap intact) within 30 days of the date you received the item and we will issue a full refund.

Please note: we can only accept returned items opened if they are faulty.

We cannot exchange items unless they are damaged, defective or you have received the incorrect title.

Delivery charges:
If you are returning an item because of an error on our part or because it is defective, we will be happy to refund the handling and delivery charges incurred in sending the item to you (in full) and your costs in returning it to us (2.00 GBP maximum without prior approval). Otherwise you will be responsible for both the packaging and delivery charges and a handling and administration charge (minimum charge £4.00 GBP).

To return an item:
Before returning goods, please contact Music In Scotland preferably by email jiml@musicinscotland.com or by mail at the address below giving the reason for the return. We will advise you where to ship the item.
Once notified where to ship the item, please enclose a note giving the reason for the return, wrap the package securely and send the package to the address given. In the case of a defective product, please provide a full description of the fault and return the defective item in its original box (if any). Then send the package to the address given.

Cancelling an item:
Under the United Kingdom's Distance Selling Regulations, you have the right to cancel the contract for the purchase of any item within seven working days of delivery. This applies to all our products. However, we regret that we cannot accept cancellations of contracts for the purchase of video, DVD, audio and software products where the item has been unsealed.

To cancel this contract, please provide written notice. Please package the relevant item securely and send it to us so that we receive it within seven working days of the date that the item was delivered to you. The return address is:

As soon as we receive notice of your cancellation of this order, we will refund the relevant part of the purchase price for that item.
