An excellent cross-section of Irish music. From the husky tones of Geraldine MacGowan to the grand up-tempo traditional style of the Allan Kelly band, the music is very much alive. Still very much active too are the medieval tones of the hurdy-gurdy, played here by the grand master, Jake Walton, in company with Eric Liorzou on mandola and guitar. The fourth act on the album, Slide, play traditional tunes too, but with a very vibrant uplift.
