The Bridge Céilí Band - Sparks On Flags [CD]

Great changes have taken place in the world since the Bridge Céilí Band played Austin Tierney's, The Music in the Glen, and Ó Rourke's Reel the night they came together for the very first time i Portarlington in May 1970. Their native place is well-known for its activity and excellence in the world of Irish music and the members of 'the Bridge,' as the band is known, are fine exponents of traditional dance music from Ireland, from the Midlands in particular. This is evidenced by the six All-Ireland titles they have won to date and by the well-worn shoes of those dancers whose hearts they have lifted over the course of the years.
