Masters of Piobaireachd

The 'Masters of Piobaireachd' series of recordings of Robert U. Brown and Robert B. Nicol (affectionately known as 'The Bobs of Balmoral') passing on their knowledge, much of it gained from their teacher, the great John MacDonald of Inverness. It is in the form of oral instruction, mainly singing and also the playing of some of the finest piobaireachd on the bagpipes. Much of the recordings were made by Norman Matheson in the 1970's plus others who, armed with analogue recorders, were welcomed into the homes of Bob Brown and Bob Nicol.
