A truly lovely and quite enchanting CD, with an elegant strength and supple structure. Manus plays fiddle in his native Irish style, but with an eclectic individuality that defies "folkiness". Tunes from Ireland, Cape Breton, Scotland and Shetland, with wonderful piano accompaniment on some tracks, with fellow fiddlers Seamus McGuire, Gillian Boucher and Marie Fielding, and with Gillian providing some foot percussion too! Superb.
