Manawatu Scottish Society Pipe Band

The Manawatu Scottish Society Pipe Band, from Palmerston North, New Zealand was formed in 1925. The Band draws its membership from as far afield as Australia and is led by brothers Stewart MacKenzie (Pipe Major) and Fraser Mackenzie (Drum Sergeant). Previous New Zealand and Australian Pipe Band Champions, the Band were finalists in the Grade 1 World Pipe Band Championships in Scotland in 2003. The Band has also won the New Zealand Champion Drum Corps title on three occasions in recent years.
