Bill McCue

Bill McCue was principal bass with Scottish Opera for thirty years, but he also appeared in many Scottish Television shows and was a great Scottish & Opera singer, actor and entertainer. A wonderful, warm bass-baritone, his diction and accent supported interpretations of Scottish songs which were intelligent, thoughtful and apparently effortless. He epitomised that class of Scottish singer of the day, with sure vocal technique and the ability to use, and adapt, that technique in a range of styles.

Bill McCue September died in 1999 at the age of 65.
