Alison Kinnaird

A CD and DVD set introducing a brilliant and innovative art form, combining ancient music and craft techniques with high technology. The CD contains a mixture of traditional Scots and Gaelic pieces, and some of Alison’s own compositions, showcasing her brilliance on gut- and wire strung harps and bray harp. She is joined by other world-class musicians for some tracks. The DVD introduces her harp music as an overlay in her skilled work as an artist in glass. It features music, information and insights into her glass installations showing the human figure surrounded by the patterns made when her harp notes are played into a computer. Fascinating on many levels.
